Goose Byte have revealed details on their debut title The Signal, which is currently in development for PC and consoles. Set in the far future, The Signal sees the last of humanity abandon Earth to find a new planet to call home and it is up to players to lead the expedition of an uncharted planet and see if it is suitable. Watch the new reveal trailer below…
The Signal is a third-person, open world, multiplayer survival game that focuses more on players putting more effort into being creative than into being violent to one another. Rather than fight to survive like other titles in the survival genre, The Signal is built on exploring and inventing to survive.
The world of The Signal is one of multiple biomes and strange structures, strange still is the apparent sentient ecosystem that seems to react to the players’ every move. Will you be able to tame the new world or simply coexist with it?
The Signal features:
- Multiple biomes to explore
- The ability to scan rocks, flora, fauna and even alien landmarks
- Invent and share equipment, infrastructure and vehicles with others to help solve challenges
- Master sustainable use of the planet’s resources
- Play with up to 16 other players on dedicated servers
“We’re really excited about the world we’re building for The Signal,” says Theodor Diea, CEO and founder of Goose Byte. “We want to take players on a journey: as you step out onto this uncharted planet you are faced immediately with an environment that is as mysterious as it is beautiful. This planet is teeming with unknown flora and fauna across multiple, massive biomes. But not everything is as it seems. The planet is fully aware of your actions and, the longer you spend exploring, the more it starts interacting and messing with you.”
The Signal is currently in development for PC and consoles. Look out for more news on this exciting looking title in the coming months.
