Virtual hunters will get a canine companion in Hunting Simulator 2

May 12, 2020 by Andrew Newton

NACON has revealed that their upcoming Hunting Simulator 2 will give players the opportunity to take a canine companion on their hunting trips.  The hunting dog is a brand new feature for the game which is set to release on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC on 25th June. Watch the trailer below to meet the new hunting dog.

Like it is in real life, the canine companion will help players locate clues for particular animals and then help them follow the animal tracks to its location.  There will be three dog breeds available, Beagle, Labrador Retriever or German Shorthaired Pointer, and each will have specific characteristics and skills that players will need to learn if they want to use the hunting dog effectively.

Hunting Simulator 2 takes players to larger and more varied natural environments from locations across the USA and Europe.  Sneak stealthily among the flora to hunt down over 30 animal species, each of which has an artificial intelligence that makes the animal behave in a more realistic manner.

Players will be able to choose every piece of their equipment from a selection of more than 75 weapons and 90 official clothing items from well known brands like Browning, Winchester, Verney Carron, Bushnell and Kryptek.

Hunting Simulator 2 will launch on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on 25th June with a Nintendo Switch edition arriving at a later date.
