VR Troopers is set to make its return with its first new series in 30 years courtesy of Boom! Studios with the launch of a six-issue comic book from the publisher’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers creative team of writer Mairghread Scott and artist Sebastián Piriz.
Spinning out of the pages of Boom!’s Power Rangers Prime, the new VR Troopers series will see the return Ryan Steele, Kaitlin Star, and J.B. Reese, stars of the 90s superhero “sister series” to Mighty Morphin Power Rangers from Saban Entertainment which ran for two seasons between 1994 and 1996.
The VR Troopers are the most elite of the Eltarian empire’s human heroes on Earth, but what secrets are the Eltarian’s keeping? When VR Ryan tracks down a rogue Skug, he’ll come face-to-face with a foe who will change his understanding of VR—and himself—forever!
