Despite the much-publicised departure of one of the show’s original stars, The Walking Dead’s season 8 midseason premiere couldn’t halt the zombie drama’s ratings decline, with ‘Honor’ drawing the lowest midseason premiere numbers in the show’s history.
Variety reports that the episode pulled in a 3.6 rating in the key 18-49 demo, with 8.3 million viewers in total. That’s lower than any other Walking Dead midseason premiere, but it is up slightly from the midseason finale back in December, which had a 3.4 rating and 7.9 million viewers.
Despite the ongoing ratings decline, The Walking Dead still remains the top-rated drama on Sundays, and the number one show on TV among its key demo for the sixth season in a row.
