Earlier this month it was announced that CBS has given a pilot order to a TV adaptation of James Ellroy’s L.A. Confidential, and now we have out first piece of casting news.
Deadline is reporting that The Hateful Eight and Vice Principals star Walton Goggins has signed on to appear as 1950s L.A. police detective Jack Vincennes, played by Kevin Spacey in the 1997 feature film adaptation.
The character description reads: “All swagger and flash with a movie-star smile, Jack knows how the system works and uses it to his best advantage, including some corrupt shakedowns on the side.”
Meanwhile, it has also been announced that Anna Fricke (Being Human) will serve as co-showunner alongside the previously announced Jordan Harper (The Mentalist).
