It looks like Scooby-Doo is heading back to the big screen, with Deadline revealing that Warner Bros. has tapped screenwriter Randall Green to develop a new live-action adventure Scooby and the Mystery, Inc. gang.
The first live-action Scooby-Doo movie was released in 2002 and starred Freddie Prinze, Jr. (Fred), Sarah Michelle Hellar (Daphne), Linda Cardellini (Velma) and Matthew Lillard (Shaggy). The cast reunited two years later for Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, and were succeeded by Robbie Amell (Fred), Kate Melton (Daphne), Hayley Kiyoko (Velma) and Nick Palatas (Shaggy) for the straight-to-video prequels Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins (2009) and Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster (2010).
