Warner Bros. releases new trailer for The Goldfinch

Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for director John Crowley’s upcoming adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize winning novel The Goldfinch. The mutli-generational drama stars Ansel Elgort as Theodore Decker, a young man whose mother was killed a bombing as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, changing the course of his life; watch it here…

Theodore “Theo” Decker was 13 years old when his mother was killed in a bombing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The tragedy changes the course of his life, sending him on a stirring odyssey of grief and guilt, reinvention and redemption, and even love. Through it all, he holds on to one tangible piece of hope from that terrible day…a painting of a tiny bird chained to its perch. The Goldfinch.

The Goldfinch is set for release on September 13th and features a cast that also includes Oakes Fegley, Nicole Kidman, Aneurin Barnard, Finn Wolfhard, Sarah Paulson, Luke Wilson, Jeffrey Wright, Ashleigh Cummings, Willa Fitzgerald, Aimee Laurence, Denis O’Hare, and Boyd Gaines.
