Warner Bros. are moving ahead with their long-gestating remake of Tony Scott’s 1983 vampire film The Hunger, with True Blood writer Angela Robinson set to direct.
According to Deadline, Robinson, who also helmed D.E.B.S. and has most recently worked on How to Get Away with Murder, will direct from a script by American Horror Story and A Simple Favor writer Jessica Sharzer.
Based on a novel by Whitley Strieber, Tony Scott’s original slice of erotic vampirism starred Catherine Deneuve, David Bowie, and Susan Sarandon in a story about a love triangle between a doctor, who specializes in sleep and aging research, and a vampire couple.
