Universal Pictures joined the hyperbole preview party going on at the Las Vegas CinemaCon this week by screening some exclusive footage from Jurassic Park: Dominion, while Director Colin Trevorrow was on hand to posit the question the film asks, “What if dinosaurs lived among us? Would we be safe?”
The footage was described as a quick sizzle-reel, which began with some on-set archive of Spielberg from 1993, before the audience were shown clips featuring stars from both generations of Jurassic Park. According to reports the glimpses of Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler, Sam Neill as Alan Grant, and Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm were very brief, and that the action was left to Chris Pratt, who was seen galloping after dinosaurs across a snowy mountain landscape as his character Owen Grady, and Bryce Dallas Howard, whose Claire Dearing was being chased across European rooftops by the giant lizards.
By the sound of things it was all a little bit like a velociraptor attack; quick and over before you know it. Hopefully it means we’ll be getting a full trailer soon, or at least a chance to see the extended preview (teased below) that was playing before the theatrical release of F9.
