Back in October it was reported that talks were underway for a new season of Will & Grace, and now it seems that NBC may have officially given the revival the green light.
According to Leslie Jordan (via THR), who won an Emmy for his work on the show as Beverly Leslie, “It’s back. [NBC] has ordered 10 [episodes]. It’ll be for next season, so they’ll go in in July.”
Hopes for a revival of the beloved sitcom were raised in October following the reunion of cast members Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes for a one-off Election-themed special. The original cast will be joined on the new season by creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan.
Will & Grace ran for eight seasons between 1998 and 2006 and was a massive success for NBC, winning 16 Emmy Awards from 83 nominations.
