Marvel’s Black Panther has added another villain to its ranks, with Variety reporting that Person of Interest star Winston Duke is set to play the character of M’Baku, a.k.a. Man-Ape.
Created by Roy Thomas and John Buscema, M’Baku made his comic book debut in Avengers #62 in 1969 and is one of Wakanda’s most powerful warriors, who frequently tries to usurp the Black Panther from the throne. Duke is said to have won the role ahead of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (The Get Down), who tested for the part this past week.
