Patty Jenkins, director of Wonder Woman 1984, says that she doesn’t intend on directing the Amazons spin-off movie.
Director Patty Jenkins was at the helm for the very successful Wonder Woman in 2017 and she is resuming duties for the much-anticipated sequel Wonder Woman 1984. But what about the Amazonian spin-off movie that was announced last year?
Well, Jenkins sadly won’t be directing the film but she has confirmed with Total Film Magazine that she is very much involved:
“I’m not going to direct it, hopefully. I’m going to try really hard not to. It’s not going to be easy. But [WW84 co-writer and former DC Entertainment President and Chief Creative Officer] Geoff Johns and I came up with the story, and we sold the pitch, and we’re going to get it going. I’ll produce it, for sure.”
