Saber Interactive has today released the new Holy Terror update for the co-op zombie shooter, World War Z: Aftermath. This new update is available for PX, Xbox and Playstation consoles and includes lots of new features including a new Rome map for Horde Mode XL, a new fourth upgrade path for all classes, new weapons and more. Best of all though, this update is completely free!
The Horde Mode XL was introduced earlier this year, providing players with an extreme supersized horde experience. Now, players can test their skills on the mode’s second map: Rome and tackle hordes of 1000 strong zombies in the shadow of the Colosseum. A Challenge mode that allows players to increase difficulty with rotating mutators for greater rewards is now available for Horde XL’s previously released Tokyo map. New mutators have also been added to the standard Horde Mode, as well as to daily and weekly challenges.
Enhanced player progression also makes its debut with a fourth upgrade path for all classes that offer nine new perks per each class. Plus, AI party members also have their own class and have the ability to use special abilities such as the Soldier’s Grenades or the Medic’s Stim Pistol.
Two new weapons make an appearance with the update: the 1877 SBL Repeating Rifle, which delivers high damage and good accuracy, and the MRL202 “Commando” Multi-shot Rocket Launcher. As well as these weapons, there are new weapon perks and four new character trinkets.
Also available today (but not free) is the new Victory Lap Weapons Skin Pack. This features new options for the Mini-21 Rifle, S890 Shorty Shotgun, HW416 Assault Carbine and Repeater X Crossbow.
The free Holy Terror and the Victory Lap Weapons Skin Pack are available today for PC, Playstation and Xbox.
