The cast of Sony and Prime Video’s Spider-Noir continues to come together, with Deadline reporting that Li Jun Li (Wu Assassins) has joined Nicolas Cage (Longlegs) and Lamorne Morris (New Girl) in the upcoming live-action Marvel show.
Marking Cage’s first foray into television, Spider-Noir will see the star reprising his animated voice role as Spider-Man Noir from Sony’s Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and “tells the story of an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.”
Li is set to portray a singer at New York’s number one nightclub, and will star as a series regular. The actress has recently completed filming on Paramount’s Alma and the Wolf, while her previous credits include Damien Chazelle’s Babylon and the TV shows Florida Man and Sex/Life.
Spider-Noir is created by Oren Uziel (Mortal Kombat) and Steven Lightfoot (The Punisher), while Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’s Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal executive produce along with director Harry Bradbeer (Enola Holmes).
