Xbox Games with Gold for September 2022 revealed

Xbox Games with Gold for September have been revealed and for the last month ever subscribers will receive an Xbox 360 game, which is a shame considering how many brilliant games there were for it.  That said, the 360’s swan song is a game that won many an award including the Golden Joystick Award for the Ultimate Game of the year 2011, the beloved Portal 2.

As usual Gold and Game Pass subscribers will receive four games over the course of the month with September bringing Gods Will Fall, Double Kick Heroes, Thrillville and Portal 2.

Throughout September subscribers will get Gods Will Fall.  This action adventure will see players take on the might of the gods themselves as a Celtic warrior.  The gods are cruel and hell-bent on seeing all humankind obey them without question.  Take control of a small band of brave Celtic warriors who are a bit ticked off with this arrangement and set out on an adventure to overthrow their tyrannical reign over humanity.

From the 16th September to 15th October players will be able to download Headbang Club’s Double Kick Heroes.  This is an ideal game for those gamers who like rhythm gameplay and follows three musicians as they drive around a post-apocalyptic wasteland in a car while being pursued by all kinds are crazy bad guys.  This 2D side-scroller will have players pressing buttons in beat to the rhythm to activate the weapons that will get rid of the nasty pursuers.  If you ever wanted a shoot-em-up/ rhythm combo game then this is the one.

Going back to the age of the original Xbox is Thrillville, available from 1st to 15th September.  Take control of your own amusment park and design everything from rides like roller coasters and go-karts to all the little things to keep guests happy.  There’s an underlying story however, make sure to prevent your rival, Globo-Joy, from sabotaging your park.

Finally, it’s a sad farewell to the inclusion of Xbox 360 games but what a game to go out with…. Portal 2.  This award winning game will have players needing to use their wits rather than weapons or brute strength if they are to get through the myriad of cleverly designed puzzles featuring such devices as portals, tractor beams, lasers, light bridges and more.

There’s new characters to meet (voiced by Stephen Merchant and J.K. Simmons) a new story and more humour than you can shake a stick at.
