Yellowstone’s next prequel 1923 has added Game of Thrones veteran Jerome Flynn to star alongside previously announced leads Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, according to Deadline.
1923 will follow a different generation of the Dutton family as they stave off draughts, prohibition and Montana’s own great depression to protect their ranch.
Along with Ford, Mirren and Flynn, the series will star Brandon Sklenar, Darren Mann, Michelle Randolph, James Badge Dale, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Julia Schlaepfer and Sebastian Roché.
1923 focuses on the Dutton family’s next two generations as they struggle to survive historic drought, lawlessness and prohibition, and an epidemic of cattle theft; all battled beneath the cloud of Montana’s great depression, which preceded the nation by almost a decade.
1923 is expected to premiere this December on Paramount+ with the fifth season of Yellowstone premiering in November.
