Zack Snyder reveals his Justice League cut will not be a series, but a four hour movie

January 18, 2021 by Matt Rodgers

As we approach the end of a saga which feels as though it has gone on longer than any of its titular heroes comic book runs, Zack Snyder appears to have offered an answer as to how his cut of Justice League will be presented when it lands on HBO Max sometime in March this year.

Zack Snyder confirms #ZackSnydersJusticeLeague will be 4 hour movie and not 4 episodes series. #TheSnyderCut opens March exclusively on HBO Max. pic.twitter.com/GM2N0G0qkt

When responding to a question about whether Justice League is still a series or a one shot watch of a movie, he simply replied with ‘one shot’. This hasn’t been confirmed by Warner Bros. or HBO, so like the details on the amount of new footage, or the previous belief that this would screen over a series of nights on HBO Max, this news might just be another in a long line of aspects of The Snyder Cut which changes before we finally see what all the fuss is about.

It’s a given that those who’ve clamored for this director’s cut to be released will sit through a four-hour movie, but would you have preferred a four-night TV event, or does the feature-length format give you hope that this could find its way onto cinema screens later in the year? In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes-Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash-it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder and features Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Robin Wright as General Antiope, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Amber Heard as Mera, Ciaran Hinds as Steppenwolf, Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke, Jared Leto as The Joker and Ray Porter as Darkseid.
