Zoe Kravitz to play gunslinger in Black Belle

June 4, 2015 by James Garcia

According to Deadline, Mad Max: Fury Road and Insurgent actress Zoe Kravitz has found her next project: a gun-slinging western titled Black Belle.

Directed by Shana Betz (Free Ride) from a blacklist script by Tasha Huo, Black Belle is described as a “gritty project” set in the Old West just after the American Civil War. Production will begin this September, and follow Kravitz’ character, a “loner/bounty hunter who specializes in revenge killing when a client shows up with information on her mother’s murder.”

Black Belle will be produced by Brain Scratch Prods’ Chad Simplson and Mad Riot Entertainment’s Mark Canton and Lawrence Smith.
